you got nothing to lose. If you lose in court, maybe not losing points if you go to driving school will be your option. the reason I would fight it is this (i don't know about the lagalities in your area). The cop issuing the ticket will be the one to go to court. Not the pilot.(i hope not) Its as simple as asking him, did he see the speed indicated on the radar? His answer will be 'no'. You have to ask him how he knows for a fact that you were speeding. He'll say that the plane's radar detected the offense. This is called heresay. Unless the the person using the radar is in court and can verify exactly how fast you were going, the cop is relying on what someone else told him. (he needs a witness to the offense). Hopefully you don't get a rotten judge, and maybe it will be dismissed. (this is the same method used to fight those speeding tickets where a cop sits with radar on an over pass, and other patrol cars pull people over along the highway. When taken to court, only the ticketing officer is there, and it usually gets thrown out.) Good luck either way.
